Alexis Kane Speer
Alexis is responsible for STEPS’ strategic planning, partnership development and fundraising activities. Inspired by the city and the people who bring it to life, Alexis has 15+ years experience leading community-based public art, space and capacity building initiatives. She has received numerous awards recognizing her work as a city builder.
Anjuli oversees STEPS’ community and agency programs, including developing the partnerships that make them possible. She is a painter and public artist with 15+ years in community engagement, public programming and urban research.
Bebhinn is responsible for managing STEPS’ community programming, including our artist capacity building programming. In the last decade of her creative practice, Bebhinn focused on developing interdisciplinary and intergenerational arts programs that build a sense of community, develop new skills and expose participants to opportunities within the arts sector.
Renee facilitates STEPS’ community engagement and program delivery activities. She is a visual artist and arts administrator passionate about community-building, creative expression, and improving access in the arts.
Wandy supports STEPS’ community engagement and program delivery. She is an illustrator with a passion for cultural initiatives that bring positive impact to cities and strives to deepen her understanding of public art and community engagement.
Josh supports STEPS’ outreach and administrative activities. He is passionate about promoting community programs that both engage local residents and make creative initiatives more accessible for all. He is also a wordsmith with a zeal for poetry and prose.
Alexandra is passionate about the arts, the environment, urban planning, and the creative ways that they intersect to enhance our cities. Alexandra is in her final year at the University of Toronto pursuing her BA in Human Geography and Urban Studies and Geographic Information Systems, and is working towards obtaining a certificate from OCAD University in Web Design and Development Skills.
