Alexis Kane Speer
Inspired daily by the city and the people who bring it to life, Alexis has a wealth of experience leading community-based public art, space and capacity building initiatives and has received numerous awards recognizing her work as a city builder. She has an MA in Geography & Planning from the University of Toronto.
Director of Community Programs
A painter and public artist, coming from a background in community engagement, public programming and urban research. Anjuli holds an MSc in Urban Planning from Oxford Brookes University and a BA in Human Geography from the University of British Columbia.
With a belief that access to the arts can and does change lives, Bebhinn has focused the last decade of her creative practice on developing interdisciplinary and intergenerational arts programs that build a sense of community, develop new skills and expose participants to opportunities within the arts sector. Bebhinn holds a BFA in Jewellery and Metalsmithing from NSCAD University.
Social Enterprise Manager
With a background in arts and culture policy, Philippa is passionate about improving public spaces, promoting public art, and supporting social enterprises. Philippa holds a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Toronto.
Renee is a visual artist and arts administrator passionate about community-building, creative expression and improving access in the arts through collaboration, public art, and art education. Renee holds a BFA in Printmaking with Honors from Maine College of Art and MFA in Studio Arts, Print Media from Concordia University.
With a Bachelor of Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design University, Wandy is an illustrator with a passion for cultural initiatives that bring positive impact to cities. She strives to deepen her understanding within different aspects of public arts through community engagement. When she is not running around the city with a sketchbook in hand, you can often find her petting her friends’ dogs.
Josh is passionate about wordsmithing and has a zeal for poetry and prose alike. He holds a graduate certificate in Writing & Communications from Humber College and an HBA in English & Political Science from the University of Toronto. If you are ever at an authentic tea shop in Chinatown, you might find Josh sipping Pu’er tea and brushing up on his Mandarin.
